Support the Westminster Chorus

GIVING TUESDAY

Hi Everybody! Brrr! Do you feel that chill in the air, but the warmth of generosity in your heart? That’s right, you guessed it, it’s Thanksgiving in the U.S., and Giving Tuesday is just one week away!

What an exciting year for the chorus, as we returned to Far Western District competitions under the direction of Dr. Dan Wessler. We brought 12 new members to contest, and were thrilled to be announced as the FWD 2023 Chorus Champions in October.

Our sights are now set to get us all to the International Contest Stage in Cleveland in July 2024, our first international competition since 2019. We want to bring as many new members onto the risers in Q1 2024 as we can!

We especially want to grant our new youth members the opportunity to help deliver our most exciting contest package yet. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of applause from the one audience that truly “gets it” - the barbershop audience!

So here’s the pitch! (in the key of “G” for “Giving Tuesday…”)

The Westminster chorus is launching a $10,000 Giving Tuesday campaign goal this year to raise youth member scholarship funds for International. Your generous donation will directly cover contest registration fees and defray travel expenses for these young singers.

Thank you for joining us during a time of new energy and growth for the chorus. Together, we can make a difference for our new members and help instill in them the passion that we have to preserve our artform and our love for Barbershop Harmony. We’re grateful for your support!

OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT

Want more Westminster Chorus videos? Consider supporting us on Patreon and get access to exclusive content only available to Patreon subscribers. Your Patron membership will open our vault of videos to you to see before anyone else. New content will be available to you each month. We hope you will consider signing up as part of our new way to donate!

We are thrilled to be the reigning BHS Chorus Champions through the first half of 2020 and to sing away the trophy to the new winners in our own backyard with the International Barbershop Harmony Convention in LA this year. We are also designing the plans for our next tour abroad which will be announced in the coming fall. Another harmony filled year ahead where we are working tirelessly to spread our love of singing and foster high level musicianship in young men.

But we can’t do it without your help. We are a 501c3 Non Profit and an entirely volunteer organization comprised primarily of students and young men. So for us to travel, commission new musical works, and produce shows, we need significant financial contributions from friends, families, and patrons of the arts.

So if you have found your way to this page, we hope that it is because our music has touched or inspired you in some way. And if so, please do consider a donation of any amount to help us. So that we may continue to spread love and joy through music for many years to come.
